Officiant

Oregon State law requires an officiant to formalize a legal marriage. Deschutes County interprets ORS 106.150 “in the presence of” to mean the couple, officiant, and two witnesses must be physically present in the same room, without the use of any electronic means such as Zoom or Mobile Phone, throughout the ceremony.

-We can act as your officiant if you would like to exchange your own vows only.

-The best is when a loved one acts as your officiant and can be part of your special day. Anyone can easily get ordained in Oregon. https://getordained.org/training/wedding/how-to-perform-weddings
